Memory verse

Activity
Animals two by two. Write animal names on paper slips, two of each, and give one to every child. On your signal they must find their pair by making that animal's sound — no words allowed. When every pair is found, line them up and march them into a chalk "ark" drawn on the floor.
Craft
Rainbow strips. Give each child seven strips of coloured paper to glue onto card in an arc. Across the rainbow write the memory verse, or for the youngest, just the words "God keeps His promises." These look bright on a classroom wall, so keep a few and display them.
Closing prayer
Dear God, thank You that You always keep Your promises. Help me to obey You even when other people laugh at me. Thank You for keeping me safe. In Jesus' name, Amen.
